I am loving these quilts, they are so lovely, unique, pretty, useful, delightful and just plain wonderful.
Nice and warm and thick and some over 100 years old. Its a tribute to the ladies who made them and to good old fashioned quality. Fabrics are just not the same these days.
I am unpacking more over the next few days, I still get surprised when I open them up and roll out.

DeleteI no longer have that one but do have plenty more red and white quilts available. I will post some photos when I get back from the USA.

Thanks Jen - I actually think I might have a go at recreating it. I love the design especially. I have been staring at it trying to work out if it is pieced, appliqued or a bit of both and the dimensions and ratios of the block.

DeleteIt's all pieced, even the little green stem. From memory it was 3 red pieces for the petals and the white was mitred on the top corner of the block.
Leave it with me, I might have a close up of it somewhere. It sold to a quilt collector early this year.
